Sometimes we need support from others, and here’s my way to express that to you.
Things I have read
Stop calling it bad code by @GergelyOrosz: This is something I completely agree on. Because the code you are seen does not meet your standards, doesn’t mean is bad code. Identify what is bad on that code and be constructive on how you can improve it is the key.
Creating a Node.js serverless function as a proxy endpoint using express on Zeit Now by Joel Hooks: This is a technique I also use a lot on my workshops when I’m using open free APIs, sometimes having a place that you control it is better. It’s never being easier to achieve this things. The Service I used to achieve the same result was glitch btw.
💰 salary negotiation for web developers. @JoshDoody is the real deal. Can probably increase your lifetime earning well into the 7 figures following his advice. Don’t sleep on this. joelhooks.com/salary-negotia…20 assorted tips for aspiring speakers by Juho Vepsäläinen: If you want to speak at conferences (as I do) this tips are really valuable, not because that’s the title, but because is not the first person telling me those tips too. In my humble opinion, being accepted in a conference is a combination between luck and consistency. you just keep posting, one day the first one will come :)
Winning over Executives: by the GatsbyJS team: I prepared 2 project proposals for websites last week, and This article helped me a lot to articulate really well what is Gatsby and the main advantages of migrating/using it. If you want to start selling Gatsby sites, definitely check it out!
do you want to explain to your boss/client/stakeholder what is @gatsbyjs ? checkout this incredible page!!😱🎉❤️ gatsbyjs.org/docs/winning-o…How to ask you mentors for help: I personally don’t have a real mentor, but I have people around me that I follow and feel they are a good influence. I guess I’m not the only one that things about them the same way I do, that’s why I try not to bother too much and this post nailed it on my way of thinking about it.
